Paul Burstow MP, Minister of State for Care Services, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to mainstreaming telehealth and telecare services, to help ensure a better quality of care and greater independence for people with long-term conditions.

Adrian Flowerday, Managing Director of Docobo Ltd, has been awarded an Outstanding Achievement Award by Intellect in recognition of his work as chairman of the Telehealth group. The Telehealth group was formed in 2006, and has steadily grown in size and reach, and now attracts all the key players involved in the UK health IT industry.

Various initiatives by governments of European countries are driving the adoption of IT systems in the healthcare sector. Increasing awareness about healthcare IT across the Middle East and other regions will fuel greater adoption.

Excluding currency effects, the full year revenue increased by 0.9 percent. As expected, 2011 became the first year in which the digital and IT solutions were able to compensate for the decline in the traditional film business.

Every day 18 Swedish women are diagnosed with breast cancer. Although there is a real need for support and information, many women struggle and get lost in the deluge of information.
